Fourbyfour
Becca tagged me. Ready?
4 jobs I've had:
1. Piano teacher
2. Dry cleaning associate
3. Children's librarian
4. Editor (freudian typo: Ediot)
4 movies I could watch over & over:
1. Room With a View
2. Lagaan
3. ?
4. ?
4 places I've lived:
1. Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
2. Provo, Utah
3. Salt Lake City, Utah
4. Pocatello, Idaho
4 places I want to live:
1. In a strawbale house
2. On a working organic flower farm
3. Or any working organic farm
4. In a slick downtown apartment of some cosmopolitan city
4 TV shows I love:
1. Umm. There's only one I've watched with any regularity in the past twenty years, and that's West Wing. I thought the earlier seasons were better, and I liked it more when the people talked slower and Martin Sheen was more of a central character. Plus I think it jumped the shark when CJ had the high school reunion. Puhleeze.
2. I saw about half of Scrubs one time, and laughed for most of it despite myself.
3. When we're in St. Louis or at hotels, we usually end up watching some kind of glamour reality show, like the one about the narcissitic hairdresser who makes all his stylists cry and cried himself when he got his own packaged product line. Or the one where it's a competition to see who can be the best actress the quickest, usually dependant on who can hold their cool when the hot/known male actress (ha! whoops, I guess that would be actor) does a scene with them, and who can get to their sorrow and anger the most convincingly on demand. Or we watch the reality animal rescue shows. Drama drama drama!
4. I also watched a show on a sports channel once about Bodacious, the baddest bull ever known to national rodeo. I had to turn away at certain slo-mo bone crunching parts.
4 highly regarded TV shows I've never watched a minute of:
1.?
2.?
3.?
4.?
4 places I've vacationed:
1. Waterford, Maine
2. Eureka, Montana
3. Sharm el Sheik, Egypt
4. Southern Utah
4 places I wish to go on vacation:
1. Take the train through the Sierra Nevadas to San Francisco in a sleeper car;
2. then eat at Chez Panisse;
3. then tour the city with an insider and money to spend (include The Edible Schoolyard as part of tour, with Alice Waters as guide);
4. then come home to a full garden with no deer damage, warm nights with dinners outside and lights, good friends (all would be handily close by) and a heart of gratitude--my own, and my husband's.
4 sites I visit daily:
1. I'm on a luddite kick (have been working on house, sick, etc.) and haven't checked much of anything daily. When I do get online, I check: mail, blogs, iTunes (go find "Gotta Have You" by The Weepies) and late at night when I'm home alone and should be in bed: apple.com/trailers.
4 places I'd rather be:
I know this probably sounds cliched, but I don't think about it in terms of location. Let's change this question to: 4 projects I'd like to be started on/finished:
1. My henhouse
2. The chair I'm reupholstering
3. The essays I want to write
4. The community cookbook I'm editing
4 people I'm tagging:
1. Annaleelee!!!
2. Queen Serene (I'm 1/3 apologetic, 2/3 curious.)
3. The other two I'll have to introduce myself to before I list their blogs, b/c I just lurk there.

Hey, Johanna,
I just discovered your blog because Kathy listed it on hers (Queen Serene). I love it! Funny that you're in Poky (or are you still?)--we just moved from there last year. Salt Lake is home for us; we lived in Poky four years and now we're back. I also watch only one show and it is West Wing. I also like it a lot less now.
